Kaboom

There is this urban legend: If all Chinese would jump off a table at the same time, the resulting earthquake would hit the USA. Actually it would strike Argentina. And of course this is just a legend, it wouldn't work, as shown on TV. But it is actually possible to induce earthquakes, or at least let all seismic sensors around the world think so: North Korea's recent test of a nuclear bomb was recorded as an earthquake of magnitude 4.7. It's always nice to know a country is setting its priorities right. Who cares about starving people, if you can make so much noise...
